Willow was picked up by Riverhead Animal Control with a broken leg and RSVP was there to contribute to the cost of her medical treatment. Pat Lynch, a very dedicated advocate also stepped up and became Willow's personal guardian. Pat contributed generously to Willow's expenses and made certain that she was placed in a loving home. |
Hennessy was surrendered to the Riverhead Animal Shelter by his owners. He was blind as a result of an untreated heartworm condition. A very generous RSVP supporter donated the money necessary to cure his heartworm condition and Hennessy was successfully adopted. |
PeeWee, a rescue with another non-profit group, suffered a serious injury and required extensive surgery. A story was written about him and published in a local newspaper. Donations and financial assistance helped to cover the cost of his treatment and PeeWee is on the road to recovery. |
Sasha, a blind Jack Russell/Dalmatian mix was surrendered by her family when they lost their home as a result of the economic housing crisis. Through RSVP, she was promoted on the Petfinder website, the RSVP website and featured as "Pet of the Week" in a local newspaper in an effort to find a loving home. |
