Update February, 2011
Tiny Tim was originally placed in a foster home, where he began to thrive. He grew very attached to the mother but has been unpredictable with other members of the family and visitors. Tiny will need to be re-homed with a single, female adult. The trauma in his early life has left him scarred and he is in need of a very special person he can trust. If you can give this little guy a chance, please call
(631) 728-3524 or visit www.rsvpinc.org
February, 2010
You could count the ribs under his small 20 lb frame. He stood on three legs, favoring the crooked one that never healed properly. His head tilted to one side, another permanent reminder of a traumatic injury. "Tiny Tim" seemed an appropriate name. He is one of the special cases, offered exclusively to rescue organizations by Animal Care & Control of New York City. RSVP, a local Long Island non-profit, found him a foster home.
Tim has been thriving with his temporary family and enjoying the company of 3 other companion dogs. Even with his apparent disabilities, he runs circles around them and playfully steals their toys.
One look is all it takes. You will want to cradle him in your arms and keep him safe forever more.
Tim is small, resembles a beagle/dachshund mix with a puppy-like appearance, approx. 2 years young and is up for adoption.
