"Seraphina"
July, 2010
The winds of change are blowing … and the meek are getting ready.
The Town of Brookhaven has one of the largest municipal shelters on Long Island and is home to over two hundred (200) animals. Dori Scofield, a lifelong animal advocate and founder of “Save-A-Pet” in Port Jeff was recently appointed as Director of the shelter. I emailed Dori and asked if there was a dog she would like to promote as “Pet of the Week.” I had my answer within 10 minutes.
“Seraphina” is an American Staffordshire Terrier who arrived at the shelter as a stray on 07/07/08. That was two years ago!! Just think – in dog years that would be equivalent to about a 14 year jail term. And your only crime is being homeless. Seraphina is “very well behaved” and “sweet, adorable and playful.” And I bet she is a whole lot more. Please, stop by and meet this precious girl for yourself. Give her a home and give her back her life. She has been waiting so long. Call
