"Daisy&Champ"

April, 2010

When people go to an animal shelter to find a companion pet, some know exactly what they want. A particular breed, a certain look or a dog that will fit their lifestyle. But there is a small group who have another motive. They are on a rescue mission. They'll ask who has been there the longest. Who was abused or neglected? Who is at risk? They are the champions of the “underdog.” Daisy and Champ are two underdogs waiting for their redeemer. Daisy, a beautiful, 2 year old “blue-nose” pit bull was used for breeding and was neglected. Often hungry, she would try to steal food from neighboring dogs. Champ's history is uncertain, but he may have been hit by a car or possibly suffers with a mild neurological disorder. Also young, he may be a boxer mix and appears to be good with other dogs. Both dogs are very people friendly and in need of loving homes. Will you be their hero?
