Sasha

One of the less publicized casualties of the economic housing crisis is the displacement of pets. Our "Pet of the Week" is one such pet that has had more than her share of misfortune. "Sasha" is a lovely, gentle, obedient, trained Jack Russell/Dalmatian mix. She is 3+ years young and weighs 42lbs. Her family is devastated at the thought of saying goodbye. Through no fault of their own, the home Sasha's family was renting went into foreclosure. They were forced to move without notice and their new landlord will not allow dogs.

Her owners provided a profile, which states that Sasha is crate-trained, not a barker, EXCELLENT with children, gets along very well with other animals, including cats and has an extremely loving & playful personality. She was abused and severely neglected when her family rescued her. Sasha was so thin, she looked like a skeleton with skin stretched over, but she responded immediately to the love her new family offered.

What is particularly heartbreaking for Sasha's family is that Sasha is blind. If a loving home can be found it will certainly give them peace of mind, knowing that she is safe and cared for. If you would like to know more about Sasha, please call (631) 413-3510 or visit www.rsvpinc.org for additional photos. Her family knows that you will fall in love with her - just as they did.
