Max

Max as a puppy

Updated March, 2010

“Max” was featured as “Pet of the Week” in December, 2009 and RSVP was able to place him in a foster home temporarily. He had been surrendered to a municipal shelter by his original owners when they lost their home to foreclosure. Max was so traumatized as a result of loosing the family he loved so dearly that he became despondent and stopped eating. He had become so thin that his ribs started to show! Fortunately, he was redeemed and blossomed once more when in the company of caring guardians. However, Max's foster family is now moving out of state. They have praised Max as a wonderful companion pet who was terrific with their 11 year old son. Max does not know that once more his heart is about to be broken.

Please help Max. If you can assist him through this loss by offering temporary foster care or would consider adoption, he is a great dog! He is 2 ½ years young, a German Shepherd mix and weighs about 65 lbs. Guaranteed to offer his unconditional love in return. Call (631) 219-8529 or visit www.rsvpinc.org for more details.
