Lucky

July, 2009

Maybe “Lucky” wasn't the most appropriate name for our “Pet of the Week.” Her start in life was anything but. Still a baby at 10 months, “Lucky” was living in a car with another dog. Her complete history is a unclear, but the other dog died and Lucky found herself on the end of a 3 foot chain in a shed. A good Samaritan rescued her and now Lucky is hoping to live up to her name. She has proven herself to be a wonderful family pet. She is housebroken, walks well on a leash, shows no food aggression and has quickly learned the basic commands.

Lucky is a Black Labrador Retriever mix and weighs 45lbs. She has been with children ages 4 and older and is terrific with them. Lucky is also good with other dogs and even cats! She is young and wants to play with everyone but responds to the command, "leave the cat alone" when told.

Lucky also loves to play with her squeaky toy, enjoys a good game of fetch and when left in the house alone is well behaved and not destructive. She certainly appears to be living up to the Lab reputation which is the most popular dog breed in the country and for a good reason.

Lucky would be a welcome addition to any household. This little lady is ready to be the best dog anyone could ever have. A real gem. She is spayed, up-to-date with her shots and ready for her forever home. Visit www.rsvpinc.org or call (631) 877-3400 for more information. And your luck will change too.
