Dylan

“Siempre Paratus” or “Ever Ready” is the motto of the U.S. Coast Guard and our boy, Dylan. As you can see, he is prepared and ready to go – anywhere.

Dylan is a handsome brindle shepherd mix, 1 ½ years young and weighs approx. 55 lbs. He enjoys walking, jogging, hiking, car rides and will follow your lead. Dylan is so happy when a volunteer takes him for a walk. It is the highlight of his day. Unfortunately, he only gets out for a short while and is then returned to his kennel where he spends most of his time alone. The days pass, the weeks go by and Dylan waits for his best friend to arrive. He hopes that someone will offer to foster him – even if it is only temporary. Just to spend a few days or nights in a home would mean a lot and all expenses are paid, including food. And he would give anything if someone wanted to adopt him.

Dylan is housebroken, knows basic commands and is good with children. If you have been thinking about getting a companion pet, please come and visit Dylan. He will show you his favorite scenic spot along the Peconic River. And will even carry your water bottle in his saddle bag!
