Bambi

“Riding shotgun” (from the back seat) is Bambi’s favorite pastime.
She is a tan and white, female, terrier mix with a corgi face, 6 years young and weighs 60 lbs.
She turns a lot of heads and draws a smile from everyone she passes. But life was not always so good. Bambi spent 5 years at an animal shelter.

She was originally picked up as a stray and was up for adoption, but did not show well.
Bambi would bark and growl at those approaching her kennel.
She was great with the staff and volunteers – people she knew and trusted – but wary of strangers.
She was at risk of being labeled as “unadoptable” and euthanized, but RSVP stepped in to give her a chance outside the shelter environment.

Bambi was placed with a foster family and has been absolutely fantastic!
She has bonded with her new family which includes 3 children ages 9, 10 and 15.
She is fine with people and other dogs she encounters while going for a walk.
Bambi also enjoys a good game of tag with some of the dog friends she met at the beach.
But an unfamiliar face entering her home will meet with a suspicious scowl.
She is not aggressive, but all who enter must be escorted by a family member.

Bambi is great dog who should have had this chance a long time ago. Are you the one she’s been waiting for all these years? Call RSVP at (631) 728-3524 to meet Bambi. You’ll be glad you did.
